Kania beach:
Kania
is about a 25 minute walk from Villa Vasso and Lisoulla studio, but if
you don't fancy the walk you can take the minibus or taxi.
On the way you will pass olive groves and beehives. The
countryside is dotted with wild sage and thyme which give off a
wonderful
aromatic smell in the sun, and in spring these groves are riots of wild
flowers (see photo gallery).
There are no facilities at Kania so
take food and water, but it is a great place for a bit of peace and
quiet. Behind the beach are several trees to provide shade if you
don't want to sit in the sun.
There are several ancient amphorae on the sea bed here - see if
you can find them. The recently constructed harbour at Kania has not affected the beach or the amphorae, although it got pretty close.
